2019 Taste of the Browns

2019 Taste of the Browns

Ah, September. This month brings with it some of our favorite things: sweater weather, fall candles, apple cider and of course, football season. While the Browns lost the home opener, we were still excited to celebrate with them at one of the best events of the year, the Taste of the Browns.

This annual event takes place in the stunning 7UP City Club Lounge at FirstEnergy Stadium. It celebrates Cleveland’s love for the Browns, the appreciation for acclaimed culinary cuisine, and the commitment to the community. Guests mingle with Browns celebrities while sampling tastings prepared by over 25 restaurants and beverage purveyors. This year’s Honorary Event Chef was Chef Rocco Whalen of Fahrenheit and the Honorary Event Chairs were Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl WR Jarvis Landry and Cleveland Browns Alumnus Josh Cribbs.

We love that all of our favorite restaurants were there including: Humble, Balance Grille, Lindey’s Lakehouse, Momocho, Sushi 86 and so many more. It’s also a great place to try cuisine from restaurants we normally don’t go to, like Flour or the aforementioned Fahrenheit. We were also able to wash down our bites with some great wine from numerous distributors, along with local offerings from Debonne Vineyards.

In addition to eating and drinking some of Cleveland’s finest foods and beverages, guests can bid on some truly amazing items in the Silent Auction. Highlights from this year’s auction include: Baker Mayfield Autographed Replica Helmet, Al Bubba Baker’s “Tailgater” Package, New York City package that features tickets to see Live with Kelly and Ryan, a birthday party for up to 20 people at Mitchell’s Ice Cream in Ohio City, and so much more.

Last year, this event raised more than $309,000 to fight hunger in Cleveland. That’s enough to help provide more than 1.2 million meals. This year more than $350,000 was raised against a goal of $325,000. That’s a record breaking 1.4 million meals!

There is just truly a special feeling in the air at this event every year. It feels pretty awesome to mingle with Browns celebrities, friends and other Clevelandites who love their city so much and love supporting such a great and important cause. If you enjoy good food and drink, giving back to the community, and hanging out with current and former Browns players, you should really think about attending this event next year!
