Day 20: Fat Head’s Brewery Holly Jolly

DSC_0108We are finally back to an Ohio brewery Christmas beer.  Disclosure: we’ve all had this one many times before and it’s one of our favorite. From Fat Head’s: “We think you will enjoy his holiday creation with it’s aromas and flavors of Christmas day. Sweet malt, ginger, honey and cinnamon spice.” This beer is definitely becoming a classic Holiday staple in most Clevelander beer lovers fridges.

REFLECTIONS

Beard & Broad
Beard: Always been a fan of this. Just enough spice to make it an enjoyable Christmas beer that still tastes like beer. This is probably the top of my spice threshold for a beer actually. Just enough malty sweetness to balance everything out too, but I can probably only have one of these per drinking session. The taste is kind of reminiscent of my mom’s date nut pinwheel cookies, of which I can also normally only have one because of their richness. Hits the mark in terms of Christmas beers though, another solid brew from Fat Head’s.

Broad: Yes, yes, yes! I love this beer. Fat Head’s is one of my favorite breweries, they rarely disappoint. To put simply, this beer tastes like Christmas. I taste light malt, subtle spices and holiday cheer. I cannot stress enough that this beer has the perfect amount of holiday spice. I would drink a lot of these while watching Christmas movies ob my couch under my favorite blanket.

Adam & Alex
Adam: I’m kinda drunk but I want to say that holly jolly is a delight. I love it and I’m just saying words so this review looks longer. Christmas vacation is great. Both the movie and the actual thing.

Alex: Holly jolly tastes exactly as it sounds. It’s one of my favorite Christmas beers and tastes like a gingerbread cookie

Mez & Sam
Mez: Holly Jolly is one of my favorite Christmas beers. It’s properly spiced and full flavored and enjoyable from beginning to end, Whenever I get a chance, this is one of the local beers, that I share with friends and family.

Sam: I really like Holly jolly. Its what I expect from a holiday beer. I love all the spices. It puts me in the spirit.
