By now, you know that we really love beer. But we also love gin, like really love gin. It wasn’t love at first taste though. Beard first started drinking gin shortly after college. He and his friends went through a Tom Collins stage. Then Broad got into it a little later when Beard started making some delicious gin cocktails. But, we were picky about what gin we drank. Anything that was super junipery or strong was out. Then we came across Watershed Distillery’s Four Peel Gin. We bought it because it sounded delicious and we wanted to support an Ohio business. Now this was love at first sip. We became slightly obsessed. We made tasty cocktails with it and gave it to all our non-gin drinking friends, convinced we could get them to start liking gin. When Watershed Distillery invited us and other CLE bloggers to come down and tour their facility and taste their menu, there was no way we would miss this opportunity! Read more
When TLC Book Tours contacted us about reviewing one of their latest books, Atlas of Beer: A Globe-Trotting Journey Through the World of Beer, we were thrilled! We love to read and we read every type of book. But a book that combines travel and beer almost sounded too good to be true!
Hi everyone! We just wanted to take a few minutes and thank you for your patience while we’ve been busy with our important life adventures. When we first started this blog, we had just purchased our house. We had a lot to do making the new house our perfect home. Shortly after, we got engaged, went on some trips, adopted another kitten and planned a wedding. So, blogging got put on the back burner. But guess what? We’re now married AF and we are ready to bring you some amazing content. So please sit tight while we work on some great posts for you!

It’s a very well-known fact that I am obsessed with brunch and that my usual go-to brunch drink is a Bloody Mary. But times, they are a changing! Over the past year I have grown to love micheladas. I first had them while I was visiting Beard in California a few years ago. I thought they were delicious and different but I wasn’t yet hooked. I stuck to my bloody marys and mimosas. Fast forward to last year when we were in Mexico at an all inclusive resort. We were able to get booze 24/7 and both Beard and I had to try a michelada immediately. They were SO GOOD and became our go to morning beverage and our drink of choice when we needed a break from the slushy sweet vacation fare.
The two of us are always trying to think of fun and unique ways to incorporate our interests into our blog posts. Normally we’re discussing beer, food or traveling. Well, today we want to talk about one of our other favorite things: podcasts. Broad has about a half hour commute to the office and also drives to and from court and to client appointments. Beard drives to the brewery, the production facility and to his sales accounts all over the west side of Cleveland. So, we both spend a lot of time in the car, and Broad also spends quite a bit of time in the office. Like most people, we’re not thrilled with local radio stations and occasionally grow bored with our Spotify playlists, so we have turned to podcasts. One day we asked ourselves, what are the perfect beverages to pair with our favorite podcasts? Read on to find out what we came up with!
Whenever Broad is out with the ladies or has them over our place, I always try to plan an evening with guys. Her gatherings, like the Housewife White Party for instance, are usually quite elaborate and involve a great deal of planning. Thus, my goal is normally to plan the antithesis of her gatherings. So here is my guide for the Man (no)Plan Without the Ladies.

Broad here for another round of Broad Banter! It’s no secret that my #1 guilty pleasure is terrible reality tv, specifically, the Real Housewives franchise. I’m obsessed and will watch every single show and every city. Beard absolutely hates it and will not tolerate me watching if he’s home. Needless to say, it’s a huge source of contention in our relationship.
Welcome to Broad Banter! This is a reoccurring segment for the blog where I (Broad) get to pick a topic and control the discussion. Beard will chime in a thought or two but this is lady time.
Today on Broad Banter I want to talk about Bubbles. I’m talking Champagne, Prosecco & Cava. I may love beer but I love Bubbles just as much. Why do I love Bubbles? First, Bubbles are versatile. They mix well with juice: think mimosas and bellinis. They mix well with liquors think French 75s (one of my all time favorite cocktails) Second, you instantly feel a little fancier when drinking Bubbles, mostly because Champagne glasses are just so damned fancy looking. It’s also one of the few drinks that is acceptable to wake up to, like for Sunday brunch.
