The Ninth Annual Cleveland Beer week kicked off on October 13th and as usual, we attended as many events as we could. It’s a fun week but its nearly impossible to hit all of the events. The week is full of rare keg tappings, brewery takeovers, and food-focused events spread out all over the greater Cleveland area. Read more
Our next and final stop on our honeymoon was Amsterdam. This was the place we were most excited to visit. Beard had been there once before in college so he knew what to expect but Broad had only read and heard about it. We scheduled three full days for this city, but it was clearly not enough!
After two days in Paris it was off to spend four days in Brussels. Getting around Europe is so easy and relatively inexpensive. We had train tickets to Brussels and the train system is pretty simple to understand. The best part of traveling by train (besides the views, those can be pretty sweet) are the train snacks. No, they don’t give you snacks (at least not on the trains we were on). You bring your own.
We are lucky enough to have great friends who enjoy trying new craft beer on the regular just like us. One of our friends, Adam (you’ve seen his name on a post or two) had to travel to Denver, Colorado for work. Bummer, right? We of course suggested that he find some new beers to bring home for all of us to try. Read more
Any time we have a reason to travel to San Diego, we take it. The past few times have been for weddings and this time was no different. We try to extend our trips as long as possible so we can spend time with as many friends and family we can, and so we have time to check out the breweries. Read more
